Thrown is an uplifting drama film directed by Ryd Cook.

SYNOPSIS:
A family bereavement leads to a favourite chair being assigned to the scrap heap, until a seemingly insignificant discovery leads to a change of heart.

Starring Steven Carne, Ashley Cook & Sam Heydon.

Written by Dave Clark. Directed by Ryd Cook.

Premiered at the 31st Cambridge Film Festival 2011.

Neil Rolland (Write-Shoot-Cut.com): ...both funny and moving; a beautiful slice of life and death revolving around a road-trip with an old chair. As a first time writer Dave has produced an accomplished piece which is understated and funny. Ryd, having made a load of short films in the past, has most definitely produced his finest work to date and is really finding his voice as a director.

Myra Rehman (IHeartMoviesto.com): ...The film is like a little road trip of hilarity with two guys who have an old chair tied to the top of an automobile (Ryd’s car) and the dialogues don’t stop getting funny! The film is really well shot start to finish the story is complete and apart from the funny, uplifting feeling that you get from watching it there is also an emotional element within the movie that really tends to move you.

Bill Edwards: Beautiful! ... Loved the camera work and the two actors were very natural. A very sweet story that put a big smile on my face. Loved the end titles too.
